CORTLAND FLY LINE All of Cortland fly lines have a core of braided nylon, braided monofilament or extended monofilament. The core is coated with a PVC in which is impart the taper design. Within the PVC hollow glass micro spheres (floating) is added. or various density compensating additives (sinking). Variations in the amount of additives used account for some of the differences in the characteristics of the lines, i.e. higher float or faster sink. |

*Special taper designs are used in tight loop control and pinpoint casting
